This specific, sophisticated instrument is a simple single step tester, which is independent of temperature compensation or its computation. It takes nearly 40 seconds for the reading to become stable after the pouring of sample. The temperature compensation is automatic via electronics installed inside the instrument. The body of meter is made using specially engineered plastic, so it can withstand some amount of wear and tear.

This instrument is of "impedance type" and has a more established measurement principle, which results in very less errors that may occur due to moisture that is distributed unevenly. This distribution might present within the sample or among its sourness.
